Color Club’s Fall 2012 Collection, Rule the Runway preview.

No words, just pictures, may I present to you the new Color Club fall collection called “Rule the Runway”

There seem to be cremes and duochromes, and I love it!

I have to admit… I love all of them (apart from the reds, I just do not do red on my nails :S) and I want them! And look, yet ANOTHER Peridot dupe!

What do you think of these pretties? And do you own any Color Clubs yet?

Ciaté Bottled Sunshine Collection.

Are you enjoying the summer and wishing you could just bottle a little bit of sunshine so you could keep it with you the rest of the year?

Ciaté must have had that same thought because they’re releasing 5 beautiful summery sunny colors with a delightful golden shimmer to keep you in the summer spirit for a long way to come.

  • Beach hut:  A blazing orange makes for the best beach party shade, apply for a seriously sunny mani.
  • Skinny Dip: Golden glimmering tones to bring out your inner bikini babe. Be bold, brassy and brave with this sassy shade – you may just want to hop into the pool head first, skinny dipping or not!
  • Island Hopping: Sizzling colour to transport you to the tropics, this is the perfect red to pair with a crisp sundress and floppy hat. Pass me the SPF!
  • Kaftan: Zesty yellow as bright as Santorini sunshine and the inspiration behind our juicy Mango photoshoot – thirst quenching delicious colour for poolside glamour perfection.
  • Espadrilles: Deep molten copper tones for simmering colour, the perfect partner for bronzed toes. Best worn with sand beneath your feet on a sun-drenched beach.

Are you into Oranges, yellows and reds these are the colors for you!

You can pre-order these lovelies right here on the Ciaté site.

These are pretty but not my colors, how do you feel about these?

The Bundle Monster 2012 plates are finally released!

I’ve been waiting for these beauties to be released after Bundle Monster started to tease these on their facebook page and today finally is the day that you can buy them! Yay! (I’m in no way sponsored by BM by the way, I am genuinely this excited when I find new plates… Hi everybody… My name is Claudia, and I have a stamping plate problem.)

There are a whopping total of 25 image plates in this set, featuring 6 designs on each plate equaling a total of 150 designs. These are not for sale individually but it’s totally worth getting the set for $21.99 (which is about €17,33) as normally when you buy 1 Konad plate you’re usually paying $5 or more a piece, am I right? And I can assure you, I use both brands and both equally have great quality.

Click the image for a slightly bigger picture.

Arent they amazing? I personally am looking forward to a few things, namely the barbed wire on BM plate 323, the Paisley print on 315 and the dotted gradient on 301. But all of these plates have at least one or two images I just absolutely LOVE.

I’m lucky enough to have a friend pick these up for me and ship them to me as I do not have a credit card and that is sadly the only way you can pay for these on the Bundle Monster site. Amazon will probably carry these as well soon but alas at the time of this post they only seem to have the first two sets. If you don’t have those yet I do advise you to check those out because they are great as well. Though I have to say that they really seem to have stepped up their game for this third set!

Have you tried Bundle Monster before or any other stamping system?

OPI Outrageous Neons Mini Collection.

Another fabulous neons collection about to be launched is the OPI Outrageous Mini Collection.

OPI has made a video to tell you all about this little bright collection right here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hZvmbkRS9tk

And if you haven’t got a lot of time or a bad connection and can’t watch video yet are curious about the colors in this collection, here’s a pic and the names of all the colors:

  • Ridiculously Yellow
  • Formidably Orange
  • Riotously Pink
  • Seriously Purple

Besides these colors the set also consists of a special white basecoat and the opi topcoat. All bottles contain 3.75ml which is 1/8 fl oz.

If you have not seen a Mini polish compared to a full OPI bottle  I’ve quickly taken a picture for you of a full sized bottle and a mini I got with one of the Halloween sets many years ago.

Now I have to admit, I love these, but I wish they’d just release full sizes of these so I could just get myself the purple. The other colors are fun, but I already have similar colors and I usually am not too crazy about mini polishes as with longer nails you only get 3 to 4 wears out of each color if you use them sparingly.

What do you think of this nifty little set? Will you be getting these or are you going to skip this?

New Essence trend edition: Miami Roller Girl preview.

This summer is all about brights and Essence is staying on trend by releasing four new bright colors with their Miami Roller Girl trend edition.

Available in Germany from July to August.

The trend edition will be also be available in: Austria, Switzerland, Spain, Portugal, Netherlands, Belgium, Poland, Hungary, Czech Republic, Lithuania, Croatia, Turkey, Egypt, Ethiopia, Taiwan, Pakistan, Peru, Ecuador and Chile, though I am not certain what the release date there will be.

01 bienvenido a miami

02 miami p’ink

03 four wheel drive

04 miami heat.

I’m curious to see swatches of these as Neons usually have the strange habit of drying matte. These are rumored to be high gloss polishes with real staying power. Also in this product picture the Orange seems to have a metallic shimmer to it. Will these all have a shimmer and will they be slightly sheer or will these be nice opaque creams? I can’t wait to find out!

What do you think of this Neon trend sweeping the nail polish nation? Are you all for it, or are you more subdued in your color picks when it comes to nail polish?

I’m feeling Nail-Venturous week, day 2: Humble Bee.

Today I’m going to show you another beauty in the Nail-Venturous family. One that is actually quite dear to me, not just because I created the label for this but also because I, just like my mom, have a weakness for bumble bees. I am not sure exactly how or when it started but just love their little fluffy appearance and the way they just make their way through the garden sampling all the flowers looking like they’re way too big to be able to fly. Adorable!

If you know a little bit about Amy’s creations you will know I’m talking about Humble Bee. She herself describes this lovely creation as follows: Humble Bee has yellow glitter and ultrafine and medium size black glitter in a clear base. It has semi-complete coverage in two coats. With topcoat or gelous, Humble Bee can have a shiny finish. However, this polish dries with a matte finish, and the glitter itself does not really sparkle. This polish also looks great as a layering polish. This polish tends to be a tad thick, but application should be easy. This product is 3 free, and comes in a 15ml/.5 oz full size bottle.

I think it’s time I stopped talking and just showed you the pictures of this fabulous polish. The micro glitter in this reminds me of Floam, another gorgeous and very sought after polish by Nail-Venturous Lacquers that I will be featuring later this week, and to me the black, bigger, glitter just really make it stand out.

In these pictures I’m wearing one layer of Humble Bee over a layer of Fiercely Fiona out of the O.P.I. Shrek collection. Underneath that I of course started with a basecoat and I topped it all off with Seche Vite to give the nails some extra shine and protection. By the way, I think that if I had added another layer the base color wouldn’t have been necessary, but since I’m really cherishing this polish I decided to take it easy and to just use one layer.

What do you think? Is this your cup of tea or are you not into these kind of polishes at all?

I’m feeling Nail-Venturous week, day 1: The Shimmer Effect, Corrupted and Flying Blue Jay.

This week I’m going to be celebrating the nail polishes I have that are made by Amy of I’m Feeling Nail-Venturous. Not because it’s her birthday, not because it’s almost my birthday. I’m doing this because she has some amazing polishes and I am very proud of the fact that I’ve designed the labels of the polishes that are being sold through Ninja Polish. You may know her work through a quirky polish that is currently taking the nail polish world by storm called Floam, which I shall be featuring later this week, but now onto the first three Nail-Venturous Lacquers that deserve a spotlight as well.

The polishes I am featuring today come from Amy’s own Etsy shop which is currently closed. Follow her Facebook page for updates though, you never know when she might return with an amazing new batch of polishes. They do not have my label but that of course doesn’t take away from how awesome these polishes are.

Take a look at the beautiful polish here on the top left. It’s called the Shimmer Effect and I was attracted to it right away, not just because it’s purple, but also because there is such a richness in other colors in there. There’s silver, green, light blue, orange/gold. It is simply stunning. And it sadly is a bit hard to capture but there’s a green pearly sheen over it as well that is just so unique. The official description is this: The Shimmer Effect has a purple base loaded with shimmer. It also has tiny square glitter as well as ultra fine green glitter. This polish has full coverage in two coats. This product is 3 free, and comes in a 15ml/.5 oz full size bottle.

In the picture I’ve applied two coats of polish over Rejuvacote, so no base color underneath to make this baby opaque, that’s how gorgeously pigmented it is, I was very impressed! It also applies easily and I did not have any trouble distributing the glitter evenly over my nails. Because it’s so full of glitter the surface of the nails will be slightly bumpy once it dries so I recommend you use a nice thick glossy topcoat over this polish to really bring out the colors and smooth out the surface.

Up next, pictured here on the right, is a polish called Corrupted. It’s a nice dark blue that I decided to apply over a blue polish, not because it will not be opaque after a few layers, but because I did not want to use a lot of layers so this polish will last me a while.

I first used a basecoat and a layer of Sinful Colors Neptune before applying Corrupted and just look how it shines, isn’t this pretty? Amy describes this polish as follows: Corrupted has a dark blue jelly base with ultra fine blue and gold glitter. It also has blue and white diamond shaped glitter, blue and turquoise small glitter, and gold shredded glitter. This product is 3 free, and comes in a 15ml/.5 oz full size bottle.

Again, as with all glitters really, you should really wear a nice thick glossy topcoat with this to bring out the glitters even more and to keep your polish from chipping.

Now, last but not least, here on the left is Flying Blue Jay, this polish is quite different from the other two as it doesn’t have any reflective glitter but only whites in different sizes and some blue micro glitter. This is what creator Amy has to say about it:  Flying Blue Jay has a dark blue jelly base with various sizes of white glitter and ultra fine blue and white glitter. This polish is 3 free, and comes in a 15ml full size bottle.

I think this is a very unique polish, something I’ve not seen before in other brands. Amy also has another polish that kind of looks like this but it is a black base with white glitter called Voodoo Doll which I shall be showing you later this week.

I started, again, with a base of Rejuvacote and a layer of Sinful Colors Neptune before putting this color on in two layers. I think this one out of the three featured today is the hardest polish to apply. Well, no correction, it is easy to apply as the color applies smoothly, but you need to fiddle around a bit to place the big glitter as they will not go on evenly if you don’t. Does that ruin the polish for me? Heck no, it’s a stunning vibrant blue that only stands out more with the white glitter that shows through the color. You are guaranteed to get compliments wearing any of today’s polishes though, mark my words!

Glitter polishes usually are not my favorite but man I do have to admit to having a weakness for these three because wow, look at the colors and the glitter combinations, Amy clearly knows what she is doing and has an eye for color and texture and I admire her immensely for that.

What do you think of these three featured today? Do you have a polish by Nail-Venturous Lacquers yet? Or is this possibly the first time you’ve heard about indie (independent) nail polishes?

Coming very soon!

I am now lucky enough to own 7 of these stunning polishes created by Amy of I’m feeling Nail-Venturous so I will soon be doing a week of Nail-Venturous lacquers to give these gorgeous indie polishes the attention they deserve.
