Colour your town! Cool painted nails are on trend in all cities of the world. The Essence Trend Edition – New In Town nail polishes with new XXXL brush provide for a uniform, simple and even quicker job – for trendy nails with only a brush! They are also fast drying, long-lasting and dry to a high-gloss finish.
Available in five trendy colors:
- 108 ultimate pink
- 131 ballerina’s charme
- 133 oh my glitter!
- 142 grey-t to be here!
- 143 I’m the boss
This collection is going to be released in Germany August 2012. And these polishes will be in the core collection come fall, they also showcase the new bottleshape essence has picked for their Colour & Go bottles. This collection will not be released in the Netherlands, where I live, but I’m pretty certain that we will get these colors eventually as they will be part of the core polish collection.
I personally am not crazy about the bottle shape, sure it’s cute but it takes up much needed space in my polish collection by giving them that hourglass shape. I’d rather they fill up that space with more polish if you know what I mean.
On a brighter note though, it looks like the polish on the far right which I believe might be called I’m the boss may be a darker dupe of Illamasqua’s beloved and hard to find Raindrops so I will certainly picking that beauty up!
What do you think of the new bottles?

OWWW MYYY ze zijn zoooo Cute he
Ja he? Toch koop ik ze zelden omdat ik ze zo akelig klein vind :-/
Zelf houd ik wel van Essence, maar mocht ik moeten kiezen, dan zou ik voor de Catrice lakjes gaan :)
The new Essence bottles hold 8 ml. of polish (instead of the 5 ml. in the old bottles) for €1,59. Considering that Catrice bottles are 10 ml. at €2,49, Essence polish is a less expensive way to expand the range of colors in your polish stash.
There are some really great Essence colors being discontinued though, among them the famous Deborah Lippmann Across the Universe dupe. I’m glad I stocked up on all the colors I was a little on the fence about before this news came out. :)
As to the bottle shape, I think the new caps look more comfortable to hold onto while doing a manicure. No hand cramps is a good thing! ;)
